La Jolla 10-Mile Charity Ocean Relay Swim on Sep 29, 2013
After an interval of several years, the 18th Street Pod again entered 7 swimmers who swam
one mile in the following order: Alex, Julie, Chuck, Patrick, Jim, Don, Tom, Julie, Chuck and Alex as anchor in the time of 4 hours, 21 minutes and 4 seconds, coming in third and behind the second place team in the Garabaldi Group (an average of 26 minutes and 10 seconds per mile). Team hostess Mehida did not swim but brought us bananas along with Julie who brought banana bread to keep us going strong. Double click to enlarge pictures taken by Chuck, followed by those taken by Mehida.
