The 2019 version of the 10 Mile Relay La Jolla Ocean Swim was different due to two major reasons: One, the event was switched after teams had registered to La Jolla Shores rather than the customary La Jolla Cove and Two, La Jolla Shores was like Manhattan Beach, except with no sand but high surf and waves today not to mention choppiness unimaginable to the 18th Street Pod's normal ocean swim environment.
Anyway, no South Bay swimmers drown, the food was plentiful (except for Julie) if not OK and our stop at Pedro's Tacos South in San Clemente for 6 of us was fulfilling, I guess we can say we made it through the day:
