This particular Sunday, it was decided to have breakfast after the Pod's usual ocean swim. Also, some Pod swimmers swam farther than the oldsters (Tom, Jim and Chuck) and ended up "shooting the Pier," (meaning to swim in and out under the Manhattan Beach Pier), with a curious harbor seal nearby."
