June 27th Ocean Swim with the three amigos

I want to put in a good word for Mr. No Show Hallett who actually showed up this morning at 7:15 am. I was not only surprised that Jim showed up since the morning was foggy and the surf was up, but looking out at the surf scene I saw a woman on 18th Street and Ocean who finally came up the street looking for swimmer Jim. Since both arrived at the same time, Jim introduced me to June Vantrimpont‏ who then joined us for the morning practice ocean swim and her first at the suggestion some time ago by Jim. June is a fellow Rotarian with Jim. The following email was subsequently sent to me after the morning swim:

Chuck—I didn’t tell you I invited June along this morning, because I didn’t think she was coming. You were nonetheless your usual gracious and hospitable self, and I just want to let you know that I really appreciate it. It was a fun morning for her, and for me as well. See you at the pool….Jim

So here's a picture of Jim and June. Jim looks like he swam to Rosecrans and back, but, in truth, he swam far enough to have a swim with the dolphins.
