Don Nelson and Chuck Milam, the remaining die-hards (numb nuts actually) completed their final ocean swim of the 2008 swim season and started off the 2009 schedule on Jan 1st by swimming from 18th Street to 28th Street and back (roughly one mile). The water temp was listed at 55 degrees for the day before, and Chuck was too frozen to record the event digitally.
However, in that regard, Don and Chuck, although slow, are not stupid as the other numb nut in the video below (courtesy of Tim):
